FAQs

General Questions

A. Yes. Golfmate has both an IOS and Android version of the app.

A. For all enquires please send an email to our customer support team at: support@golf-mate.com.au

A. Yes. All payments through Golfmate are processed by Stripe, Golfmate doesn’t keep any personal or payment information. Customers can book with confidence with Stripe.

A. If you invite a friend to download the Golfmate App, after that friend downloads the App, creates their profile, and makes there first order you will receive a credit, which can be accessed through your wallet, as a reward.

A. On the app, click on the Profile Tap on the bottom right. Then select Settings top right, then click Balance, this is your wallet which will show your current balance and vouchers available for use.

A. Open the Golfmate app, click “Profile tab” on bottom right corner, then select “Balance” to view your current balanceàtop right on page.

A. To Access vouchers click on Profile tab à bottom right, then select Settings at Top right, then Select Balance à here you’ll be able to view your balance and select any vouchers available, which will then be automatically applied when checking out/confirming payment.

A. Please contact our customer support team by calling +61452436798 or by sending an email to Support@golf-mate.com.au to resolve the issue.

A. Players can contact coaches through the Golfmate app, if your coach is late, simply send your coach a message, if you are unable to fix the issue or get in contact with your coach, please contact our customer support team.

A. If your coach does not show up to your lesson, we do advise you to contact your coach directly to see if there’s been any issues. We would also advise you to contact our customer support team.

A. To use your free vouchers, Open the Golfmate app, select “Profile” à bottom right tab, then Click “Vouchers” to view your available vouchers.

A. It's recommended between 30-120seconds.

A. Golfmate is the first app of its kind, helping to connect golfers and professional coaches, making appointment scheduling simple whilst creating a more simplified and effective approach to golf.

A. Yes. We have both female and male coaches available on our Golfmate app.

Profile Enquiries

A. You can browse through the coach list and coach profiles if you have any requirements, please check their profiles before bookings to ensure it’s the right coach for you. E.g., Budget, gender preference, playing level, booking, duration option, bilingual coaches.

A. The Golfmate app calendar has similar functionality to an iPhone or android calendar, so the process is simple and easy to use.

A. First go to Profile > Bottom Right tab then select Settings > top right corner then click Edit Profile, then select Photo.

A. First go to profile > Bottom right tab, then select Stories, click on the little “Green highlighted Pencil icon” > then select Take a Photo or Video, or you also have the option to Choose from your album.

A. On boarding fee: $0
2-7 coaches: $55 per coach per month.
8+ coaches: $400 per month

A. Yes, through the Golfmate app you can do both virtual or face to face lessons, players are also able to send videos to their coaches for analysis.

A. (Coach) Get in contact with our Golfmate team, and we can arrange to have your profile changed to a coach.

A. (Coach) Once you set-up your profile it will show on our app instantly.

A. (Coach) Yes, through the Golfmate app you can sync your calendar, which will automatically transfer over your customers.

Payment Enquiries

A. You can update your card details by clicking Profile > bottom right tab then select Settings > Top right tab then select Balance and Billing details.

A. The convenience fee is applied when finalising payment for lessons, this is like a transaction fee and is charged by Stripe.

A. No, this feature isn’t available.

A. No. Only one voucher can be used per transaction.

A. Credit cards and payment information is secure and stored by Stripe, third party payment system for Golfmate.

A. No. All payments and bookings are made and processed through the Golfmate app.

A. All payments are managed through Stripe.

A. Payment declined could be due to incorrect payment details, or insufficient funds in the account, for payment check payment details and make sure there is sufficient funds in the account for payment to go through successfully. If your still having issues, please contact your local bank.

A. All payments are securely managed by Stripe.

A. This is a transaction fee that is charged by Stripe.

A. You can top up your funds by clicking Profile > bottom right tab, then select Balance.

A. 1. Select a coach of your preference. 2. Click on Lessons and scroll through the booking times. 3. Click on book to select a date and time for your lesson.

A. Through the Golfmate app, we accept Apple pay, Mastercard and Visa.

A. Yes, on the Golfmate app you do have the option to use vouchers, when making payment.

Bookings

A. Yes, you can. Location of the lesson is set by the coach. (Locations cannot be changed once set) If you would like to change your lesson location, please message your coach before booking to advice.

A. No. If you don't have your own equipment, we recommend letting your coach know before your lesson.

A. Yes, if you have your own equipment, it is recommended that you bring it with you to your lesson. Otherwise feel free to discuss with your coach.

A. We have different options depending on the coach. 30min, 60min and 120min.

A. Some coaches on our Platform are PGA Professionals & PGA trainees, we also have professional coaches.

A. No, you can have lessons at any Golf Club of your choice, however some coaches aren’t mobile, therefore its best to speak to your coach about lesson locations.

A. If you have made an incorrect order, please contact our customer support team > Support@golf-mate.com.au

A. When booking a 3 x Pack you are booking for 3 lessons, to use this, Select the coach profile which offers this package, Click Book, and follow the confirmation process.

A. No, it’s not required, if you have any concerns, please contact your coach.

A. 1. Select your coach, 2. Select a lesson of your choice, Click Book, and select date and time, then follow the confirmation process.

A. 1. Create an account, 2. Complete all required steps, 3. Set lessons and schedule, 4. Wait for profile to be reviewed.

A. On the Home screen, select Lessons >top right corner, then select the type of lesson you would like to set up from the options, then click Add lesson.

A. 1. Open the Golfmate app
2. On the home screen click the “Arrow icon” bottom right corner
3. Select option “Share Lesson”,
4. Select which lesson you would like to share
5. Select the lesson start time
6. Click “Share” and select the options.

A. Select your Coach, then scroll down the profile to Language this will show you the language/s the coach speaks.

A. There are a variety of lessons and prices available, depends on the coach you choose.

A. We have no requirements, if you don't have your own clubs, we would recommend letting your coach know prior to your lesson. If you have any questions, we advise you to contact your coach.

A. Yes, after selecting a coach profile you will see a chat icon, press on this to message your coach. If it’s your first lesson, we advise you to message your coach prior to having a lesson.

A. If this is your first time booking a lesson or you have specific requirements, it is recommended that you contact your coach first to find out if the lesson is suitable for you. The coach would be more than happy to answer your questions.

A. After selecting a coach all the information that is required will be on their profile. If you do require more information, we would recommend messaging your coach.

A. Select your coach, then click Book and select the Date of your lesson, from the list, all available times will be in Bold.

A. This means that the coach you have selected is not available for that specified date/time.

A. 1. Open the Golfmate App
2. Select the Coach of your choice
3. Click Book and follow the process once you have made a booking if you would like to rebook you can simply select the rebook button.

A. 1. Open Golfmate App
2. Click the Second last tab at the bottom of the screen.
3. You can now view all your Orders.

Cancellation Enquiries

A. Yes. If you cancel 24hours before the lesson, there will no cancellation fee. We advise you to message your coach before cancelling an order.

A. Yes. Rescheduling is now available on the Golfmate app; however, coaches can only re-schedule lessons up to 3 times.

A. No. If you cancel 24 hours there will be no cancellation fee. We advise you to message your coach before cancelling an order.

A. We advise you to message your coach if the weather isn't suitable for a lesson.

A. If a coach does not show up to your lesson you will receive a full refund.



A. The payment is charged in advance. You will still receive the lesson fee even if there is a no show.

A. Yes, you can, by contacting you coach.

Interaction and Features Enquiries

A. Independent coach: 12% platform fee, 30 days free trial

A. Yes, the android version of the Golfmate app is available to download on the Google play store.

A. Sorry, The Golfmate app can only be used on a smart phone, the app isn't optimised for iPad use yet.

A. Yes, Chinese, and Korean

A. Please check that your Bank Account details have been set up correctly in your profile as well, if your still having issues, please contact our Customer Support team.

A. One Profile photo, A description about themselves, 3 cover photos, 3 stories and an updated Calendar with at least 2 hours available for Golfmate.

A. We recommend you to also please contact your student immediately and rearrange a suitable time for your lesson.

A. The payment has been charged in advance, coaches will still receive the money, even if there is no show.

A. No, they won't get charge if they cancel 24 hours prior.
